As a writer, Kate has published personal essays and op-eds in national media outlets about the experience of being a fat woman in a world that values thinness above all else, including NBC, Refinery29, and Allure. You can find more of her writing here.

Instead of sleeping in 2020, Kate took up embroidery. Whether it’s stitching fat positive messages or unique designs for friends and local businesses, she’s always looking for a new way to learn more and express creativity through embroidery and textile art.

She lives in Brooklyn with a few plants that are always close to death.
