Kate is a writer and senior communications strategist living in Brooklyn with her cat and a few plants that are always close to death.

Kate has nearly two decades of experience leading communications strategy for organizations and companies including Kickstarter, the Center for Reproductive Rights and the First Lady of New York City. When she’s not watching every crime documentary ever made, she writes about fat positivity and dabbles in embroidery instead of sleeping.

Kate is a senior communications professional with nearly two decades of experience executing strategic plans and comprehensive communications campaigns across nonprofit, legal, political, private, and public sectors.

Kate also serves as a board member for Whole Woman’s Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to shifting abortion stigma and providing quality abortion care to people who need it most, and a board member for Rewire News Group , a nonprofit media organization and the only national publication exclusively dedicated to reporting on reproductive and sexual health, rights, and justice..
